Volunteer for Hope

It’s not just what you can do for us. It’s what we can do for you! Here’s where we post new volunteering opportunities as soon as they become available, and explain some of the ways that joining our amazing team of volunteers can help you.

Current Opportunities

1. Stand out from the crowd

Whatever your skills and experience, we all need something on our CVs to make us stand out from the crowd.

What better addition to your CV than volunteering for Hope? Your prospective employers will be impressed with the proof that you’re community-minded, reliable and willing to give something back. At the same time, the exciting things you’ll get up to with us will give you plenty to talk about in any interview room!

2. Chat around the water cooler
While your colleagues are chatting about last night’s TV, as a Hope volunteer you’ll be able to chip in with some crazy tales about beer festivals, zip wires and sausage-making. Life’s for living, so don’t spend it on the sofa!

3. Meet new people

We’re a friendly group and we welcome reliable, punctual, hands-on volunteers with open arms. But, if you’re still not sure whether you’d like to volunteer, why not come along to our next event and see for yourselves?

So, if you’d like to join us for some some fun times and help us continue our ongoing work supporting young people through a family health crisis, please download an application form and get in touch!

What kind of things could you get up to?

We need help with everything from simple, office-based tasks to joining our teams of fundraisers when they’re out and about at local community events. Whatever your skill (or even if you’re not quite sure what skill it is you can offer) we’re sure to have something to suit you.

Check out our events page for a flavour of what we do.

What do we need from you?

All we really ask is that you’re reliable, punctual and willing to muck in! You’ll also need to be happy to have a DBS (previously CRB) check if necessary for your particular volunteering role (we’ll arrange this and there’ll be no cost to you).

We’ll post on here if there are any specific roles or areas that we need help with, but we can always use an extra pair of hands. So, please download a volunteer form and get in touch.

If you’d like to know more, there’s always someone in the office you can chat to (in normal office hours). The number’s 01989 566317. Or you can email us at help@hopesupport.org.uk.

Looking forward to meeting you!
